AMAR JYOTI FOUNDATION was established in 1988 with an aim of facilitating human development in a sustainable & integrated manner & also alleviation of human suffering & all round amelioration of social especially for the poor, helpless & weaker sections of the society. The organization spreads of the idea of friendship & fraternity amongst the people provides education and helps them to develop moral values; helps to uplift the status of women in the society & works for mother and child health care .. The organization works for rural development, against dowry & victimization of girl / women and provides basic education to children be belonging to under privdeged society. The organization also works for Drugs Addicts & their rehabilitation, senior citizens, provides family counseling as well as vocational training for youth & awareness on HIV/ AIDS & T.B. prevention . Holistic Development of the society is the main thrust of the organization .
The organization has continued its efforts to implement & supplement various Welfare Schemes & Development Projects sponsored by Govt. of India resulting the benefits to the deprived & weaker section population. A sense of security of lives among the destitute & deprived aged people was built. Awareness programs regarding Drug De-Addiction, and Social Evils were organized and the masses benefited through the programs. Trainings were conducted for capacity building, behavioral changes and self employment. Private resources have been consistently tapped for providing welfare services to the weaker sections of the Society. Emphasis was laid on community involvement.
The Foundation has been running a special School for Mentally Disabled Children with financial assistance from Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment (Govt. of India) since 2002 and school for H.I children has also been running since 2010
Now a day taking drug substances is the symbol of modernization. The tendency is seen mostly in youth. The organization conducted 10 awareness programs on AntiDrug. The addict were also counseled by the counselor and briefed the ill effects of the use of drug substances. During the year approx. 350 reported addicts were benefitted
Increase in number of unemployment is all apparent & the gravity of the problem needs immediate attention. Employment for rural women and youth is the area of greater concern because despite of the increase in literacy rate, job opportunities are limited for them. Thus, the rural youth and women seek earning opportunities in vocational trades.
The Cutting & Tailoring Program has also been undertaken from its own sources. App. 30 women/girls are getting training in cutting & tailoring trade for duration of one year. The trainees from SC & BC communities were provided with sewing machines and raw materials during the course.
Due to Covid-19 the education of the children is hampering as the educational institutions were working. To overcome the problem, the foundation took responsibility to educate & counsel the children & parents through home visits. Individual attention was provided so that their education level may be sustained and they do not feel pandemic.
The foundation is running Computer Training Course. The main thrust to run the Computer Training is that Computer is the basic need of each sector. Each sector is progressing with modern technologies by this skill. Each session enabling 50 youth trainees for their bright future with without any fee. All the expenditure during the training is bore by the foundation
The organization under the sponsorship of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India has been running an Old Age Home at Village Shadipur, Julana, Distt. Jind. During the year 28 destitute aged persons were residing in the home. The centre is equipped to meet the basic amenities i.e. food, clothing, medical assistance and shelter of the neglected deprived aged people.
